The aim of this course is to provide participants with up to date information, tuition and activities that will enable them to identify, assess and safely enter and work in confined spaces.

This program is delivered and assessed by Southern Training Organisation RTO 91378

Requirements

Participants must provide 100 points of identification and be a minimum of 18 years of age
Participants must hold a current Statement of Attainment in Enter & Work in Confined Space
Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment (attached) to be completed prior to confirmation of your enrolment

Contents

Identify a confined space and potential confined space
Follow WHS policies & procedures and identify relevant WHS legislation, regulations and standards covering work in a confined space
Identify, list and demonstrate the steps required to work safely in a confined space in accordance with AS/NZS 2865-2001
Identify, assess and evaluate risk
Work within the restrictions of the permit system for an established confined space
Able to test atmosphere within the confined space prior to entry, and then to safely enter the confined space whilst continuing to monitor the atmosphere and to conclude confined space operations
