These two courses are mandatory for building and construction workers in the ACT to gain entry onto a construction site. MBA Group Training is offering both courses as a combined deal for $325.00 (limited time) or if you are eligible for the Training Fund Authority rebate you could pay as little as $150.00*

The training takes place over two consecutive days (Friday evening and Saturday).

This course is delivered and assessed in English. Participants are required to understand both written and spoken English to a basic level to complete this course. If you are unable to read and write in the English language the professional services of an accredited translator are required (cost at participants expense).

The aim of this course is to provide participants with an awareness of the hazards and health effects of asbestos and its possible location in ACT homes and the community.  Under the current Work Health and Safety Act an employer must provide information and training to protect all persons from risks to their health and safety arising from their work.

Current legislation requires all persons to complete General Induction Card training before entering a construction site.  This course prepares participants for the construction site through understanding of their WHS responsibilities and the skills to identify hazards.
