CONSTRUCTION TRAINERS REQUIRED

MBA Group Training (RTO number: 88163) is both an RTO and GTO.   We deliver training to Carpentry apprentices and school based trainees and are seeking trainers for 2018.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The role requires the applicant to hold:

Certificate III in Carpentry:

  • CPC30211 – Certificate III in Carpentry (older qualifications acceptable)

  • Experience within the industry

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment:           

  • TAE40116 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

  • TAE40110 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

THE ROLE

The role of the Financial Controller is the delivery of an effective finance function to provide reliable and timely information to assist in the operations of the organisation and meet all financial compliance obligations.

The finance function is responsible for the MBA and a number of associated entities.

In the role you will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of monthly management reporting as well as all statutory reporting requirements including liaising with auditors.

The Financial Controller will report directly to the CEO and may be required to report to the Executive Committee at times.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

To be successful in this role you will be CA/CPA qualified with excellent technical accounting skills and a minimum five years’ experience.  You will also possess a sound knowledge of various taxes including GST, FBT and payroll tax. You will be hands on in your approach and have a passion for process improvement.

Your outstanding communication skills and an ability to deal with multiple stakeholders will genuinely set you apart.

TECHNICAL MANAGER – RESIDENTIAL

THE ROLE

The role of the Technical Manager – Residential is to provide frontline technical advice and dispute resolution services to MBA members and responds to consumer enquiries.

This role undertakes the critical function of managing the MBA Fidelity Fund, which includes the assessment of annual applications, claims management, and reporting to trustees.

The role assists in formulating MBA policy in the areas of technical, building and planning related issues. This will require liaison with the ACT Government, allied industry associations, other MBAs, and participation in national technical committees.

Providing high quality member service is a critical requirement of this role.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The successful applicant will hold, or be eligible to hold, a current ACT Class C builders license, and possess recent building industry experience focused on the residential sector.

The following skills and experience are also required:

  • A working understanding of the factors required to run a successful building business, in particular financial requirements.

  • An understanding of ACT home warranty insurance laws.

  • A high degree of knowledge of the National Construction Code and other ACT building laws. An understanding of NSW building laws would be highly desirable.

  • An ability to work in a team both as a leader and team member.

  • A high level of written and oral communication skills.

  • A high degree of customer service skills.
