Kids Assist Graduation

This morning MBA Group Training held the 11th Kids Assist Graduation Ceremony.

It is now 11 years since the MBA Group Training Scheme commenced its Kids Assist Program. The intention of the program was to introduce year 10 students to the discipline of the work environment and to potentially consider a career in the building and construction industry.  The aim was to assist the kids to achieve more purpose to their life and hopefully a sense of direction for the future.  The first trial of the program at Ginninderra College saw 8 of the 10 kids continue on to do additional studies after completing the program.  This was a better than expected result and a spectacular 80% success rate. This year’s intake saw 36 kids, from 13 ACT/NSW schools participate in the program.

The success of the program is a reflection of the passion and drive of many people behind the last 11 years: people such as Warren Ahrens and the team from PBS, the many subcontractors who have donated their time to host the students and the dedicated staff at MBA Group Training.

Congratulations to all of today's graduates.
